Learn more about Brain Tag#

Sleep Mode#

Sleep tracking requires a higher standard of comfort and signal consistency as it's very important for long-term sleep tracking. Therefore, sleep mode is only available for the Brain Tag.

  • Unique Design for Comfort:

The brain tag features a customized tape to fix it around one ear. Weighing just 6g and smaller than a five-cent coin, it remains comfortable in any sleep position.

  • Stable Signal:

The stable fix ensures consistent and reliable signal quality throughout the night.

EEG is the Benchmark of Sleep Tracking.#

With EEG signals, the brain tag can measure unique brain activities at night:

  • Sleep Spindles: Brief bursts of brain activity (11-16 Hz) during Stage 2 NREM sleep, essential for memory consolidation, learning enhancement, and stable, uninterrupted sleep.
  • K-Complex: Distinctive waveforms during NREM sleep, crucial for deep and steady sleep, facilitating the transition from Stage 1 to Stage 2.
  • Delta Waves: Prominent in Stages 3 and 4 of NREM sleep (slow-wave sleep), ranging from 0.5 to 4 Hz, vital for physical recovery, immune function, learning, and memory retention.

Additionally, the tag provides a comprehensive sleep report due to its multiple sensors besides EEG & PPG sensors that the headband has.

  • Temperature: Monitors body temperature fluctuations, offering insights into your sleep cycle and sleep environment.
  • 6-Axis Accelerometer: Analyzes your movements in three-dimensional space to monitor and understand sleep positions and patterns.

Meditation Mode and Brain Training Mode#

The tag can also be used in Meditation mode and Brain Training mode. (Training mode coming soon.)

The tag offers up to 10 hours of battery life, giving you flexibility for all-day use. The charging case provides up to 8 full charges for the tag. To ensure it’s always ready, place the tag back in the case when not in use.
